Marie Claire‘s latest February issue has made me fall in love with Drew Barrymore all over again. Yes, Drew may not be the ideal person to venerate, in terms of her past flings and failed marriages, but she’s an inspirational Hollywood powerhouse and such a glamorous independent and classy lady. Plus, unlike many single actors and actresses, she’s currently in a loving and successful marriage. Although many males secretly despise her beautiful actor beau Will Kopelman for taking her away from the singles market, they’ve been married since 2012, which is a pretty long time when we think about Kim Kardashian’s past marriage to Kris Humphries. And I couldn’t be happier for her! Drew and Will are absolutely adorable, and you just know their daughter (and child who’s on the way!) will be absolutely gorgeous when they’re older.
Now, let’s cut to the chase and celebrate everything that is Drew. Here are the main reasons why we ate WTF Love? freaking idolize her.
Drew has the biggest heart imaginable. Even though she has an insanely full plate, she’ll go out and just adopt a puppy, just because.
She’s such the romantic, and you know this because she’s played the lead chick in countless romantic comedies.
She’s not the typical Hollywood stick-thin actress. She’s every guy’s dream girl, who’s down to eat a juicy cheeseburger and even some fries.
Drew has even spoken out on issues concerning society’s harmful idea of the “perfect” body. She’s told Women’s Health that,
You’re not supposed to look perfect while you’re making babies—making babies is the perfection…There’s just no such thing as perfection. So if you’re trying to get there, you’re just torturing yourself.
She has the BEST hair ever. I mean, HOW MANY hair trends has she started? Plus, she looks absolutely fabulous with any haircut, short, long, or even bald (if she ever went there).
She was one of the flyest teens out there, and even though she was a fairly troubled young star, she made rebellious look cool (even though it really wasn’t all that cool).
You know you liked McG’s Charlie’s Angels ten times more just because she was in it. Don’t lie; her killer looks and irresistible charm and spunky sense of humor had you drooling.
Did I mention that she also looks smokin’ as a blonde?
In the end, Drew is a strong-minded, down-to-earth lady who anyone would want as a best friend.
